Why Sell Your Watch To Us?

Unlike other jewellery stores we have watch specialists on site who are up to date on watch market values.  This means that we are able to offer you the best price for your time piece.

How Does The Process Work?

Buying and selling watches at Francis Jewellers is safe, secure & confidential. Typically, we need to physically see your watch to make a proper evaluation, but good quality photos can also provide us with an idea of your watch's market value. Once we determine the value of your watch, we will try to come to an agreed upon price.
When you come in to the store, it is best to bring everything that you have for the watch including, box, papers, tags, etc.

Some Watches That We Have Purchased/Consigned:

This is the iconic Patek Philippe perpetual calendar moon phase wrist watch. It is in very good condition and includes the original winding box, papers, extra case back, and pusher. Comes on Patek Philippe strap along with Patek Philippe deployant clasp.

Our rare Cosmonaute with dual tone dial, good lume and hands in original condition; circa 1965. Before it was cleared for travel in Space the watch had to pass some extremely tough tests carried out by NASA.

This is a Rolex Submariner Date reference 1680 with submariner written in red; circa 1971.  It is in very good condition. The earliest versions of the Rolex Submariner ref. 1680 had the “SUBMARINER” label written in red writing, hence its nickname the Red Submariner. The brand eventually phased out the red writing on the ref. 1680 and replaced it with white writing in 1973 and as a result the models with the red "SUBMARINER" are now sought out and prized by vintage Rolex collectors.

The Speedmaster Professional became known as the “Moonwatch” because of the historical impact of this timepiece. Worn by the astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the "speedy" is not only the first watch to traverse the surface of the moon, but also one of the most significant wristwatches of the 20th century.

This iconic 1675 was one of the more popular and noticeable timepieces manufactured by Rolex in the 1960’s and 1970’s. This one is a Rolex GMT Master "Pepsi Bezel" circa 1965; the original gilt dial is in great condition.

Looking To Consign Your Jewellery?

Here at Francis Jewellers we will take in select jewellery items on consignment.  We have a very simple and straightforward consignment process. Many other businesses that do consignment take a percentage of the final sale, usually between 40-60% and have additional fees and time requirements, but here at Francis Jewellers we establish a fair price that you will receive when when we find a buyer for your item. The price for each item is set ahead of time and is normally based on a percentage of the current market value. We charge no additional fees or handling costs.

Consignment Agreement Details

Consignment Terms: No minimum time requirements. No Fees. You retain full rights to the item(s) while in our possession and may pick up the item(s) or request their return and cancel the agreement at any time. We ask up to 30 days to issue payment once a buyer is found. This time is to cover shipping, sizing, adjustments, repairs, or anything else that may take time. Each item is fully insured for loss at the agreed net consignment price while it is in our possession.

What If After Time My Item Hasn’t Sold?

Our consignment agreements are not for a fixed time period. We will always prefer to keep marketing an item until it sells; however, we realise that the point to consignment is to actually sell the item. At any time you can cancel the agreement and either pick up your item or have it returned to you. Another option to facilitate a sale faster is to try reducing the price. We would then come to a new consignment agreement.
